Sydney, Australia: 9th August 2011: Rotolight are delighted to announce the Australian launch and International Debut of the RL48-B, the third generation of the hugely popular and multi-award winning HD LED on camera Ringlight, that has to date sold over 15,000 units. Rotolight are delighted to also announce the appointment of New Magic Australia as their Distributor for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

The new RL48-B delivers 25% more light output than the previous award winning model and also features numerous performance enhancements including re-designed circuit boards, better connectors and switch assembly for greater efficiency, whilst still retaining its legendary studio accurate colour temperatures. These range from direct daylight, indirect daylight, mixed light to tungsten; providing a naturally warm, 'shadowless' wide light beam. The output is quickly and accurately dimmable over a range of 1.5 aperture stops using any one of the contained Natural Density Filters created by LEE Filters. The RL48-B also requires less filtration than the RL48-A, requiring just a 1/16th CTO to achieve 5600K Daylight, instead of 1/8th CTO on the previous model, thereby further maximizing light output. Rotolight can be mounted on any shotgun microphone natively, or using the optional Rotolight stand (included within the interview and creative colour kit), mounted to any hot / accessory shoe, spare tripod, lighting/desk stand or rail support system.
Rotolight will also be unveiling a range of state-of-the-art accessories to enhance Rotolights' versatility for connectivity and deployment, which are also designed to work separately with third party products. The range shall include a 360 Swivel Ball ¼″-20 Thread Mount allowing users to control the light angle whilst the Rotolight is mounted to a hotshoe or light stand, as well as Articulated arms, stud connectors and handle grips.
As a continuous light source, Rotolight provides the user with a 'Shoot What You See' alternative to flash and is perfect for ENG, HD Cinematography, Videography and HD-DLSR photography providing that great fashion 'ring light' effect whilst eliminating 'red-eye', blink reflex and shadows.
The RL48-B is available for sale separately but also comes included within the single light source "Creative Colour Kit" and dual light source "Interview Kit". Both of these also contain the Rotolight Colour FX Gel Filter Kit, comprising 10 of the most popular LEE Lighting colour FX filter gels including 8 Colour FX filters for sidelight, backlight, kicker or top light, and two Cosmetic filters for skin tone enhancement. These enable users to create a wide range of lighting effects from one compact, easy to carry kit. Both Kits also include an Accessory Belt Pouch and Rotolight Hot Shoe Stand Mount(s).
