TechSmith and Matrox Announce TechSmith Relay and Monarch LCS Integration
Okemos, Mich. — June 8, 2017 — TechSmith Corp., the go-to organization for visual communications and lecture capture and Matrox® Video announced today that TechSmith Relay, a leading lecture capture and educational video platform, offers seamless integration with the easy-to-integrate Matrox Monarch LCS Lecture Capture Appliance.
The standalone Matrox Monarch LCS is simple and easy to install in any classroom. It can record up to two high-quality video sources – such as camera and presentation materials – and automatically share the video directly to TechSmith Relay, the easiest-to-use video creation, lecture capture, management and hosting platform. Monarch LCS’s included scheduler allows for automated recording, meaning the combination of Relay and Monarch LCS offers a highly useful, simple and affordable solution for automated lecture capture in higher education.
“TechSmith Relay is used in many higher education institutions and we’re happy to provide even greater flexibility with the integration of the Monarch LCS,” said Wendy Hamilton, CEO, TechSmith Corp. “Instructors now have more freedom than ever to walk in and teach without having to worry about starting and stopping recordings or switching video sources, offering a more seamless approach to capturing classroom lectures that students can access any time, on any device through TechSmith Relay.”
“The combination of the Monarch LCS and TechSmith Relay removes barriers; for instructors in providing students valuable video resources, for students in that they can easily access materials outside the classroom, and AV/IT departments in that they need to manage only schedules, and not individual users and devices,” said Alberto Cieri, Senior Director of Sales & Marketing, Matrox. “We are pleased to work with TechSmith to provide a more powerful and easy-to-use lecture capture solution for colleges and universities both large and small."
